Exploring how timeless biblical narratives can inspire visionary leadership and shape a hopeful, unifying path in a changing world.

The world around us is shifting faster than ever. Cultural divides are deepening, technology is reshaping communities, and uncertainty often overshadows hope. In such a time, the church is called not to retreat, but to lead—with vision, conviction, and faith that speaks meaningfully into our moment. Finding Forward: Visionary Leadership and Biblical Narratives in a Time of Change invites leaders, scholars, and practitioners to rediscover how Scripture can illuminate the way ahead for the people of God.

The Bible’s stories are not static relics of the past—they are living testimonies of God’s work through change, disruption, and renewal. From Abraham’s journey into the unknown to Nehemiah’s rebuilding of a fractured city, from the early church navigating diversity to Jesus’ vision of the Kingdom in a divided world, Scripture offers profound insight into leading with courage, humility, and hope.

This conference seeks to bridge the gap between theology and practice, between the academy and the church, by engaging biblical narratives as resources for leadership today. Together we will explore how visionary leadership rooted in faith can bring clarity amid confusion, unity amid polarization, and hope amid anxiety.

Through keynote lectures, practical workshops, and theological reflection, Finding Forward aims to inspire leaders who can read the signs of the times with spiritual discernment, imagine the future with faith-filled creativity, and guide their communities with wisdom shaped by God’s story.

In an age defined by change, we gather to remember that the God who calls us forward is already at work ahead of us—inviting us to lead with vision, truth, and hope.

One Vision, Two Perspectives

The Finding Forward conference brings together two worlds that deeply need one another—the church and the academy. Over two days, we explore what visionary, faith-rooted leadership looks like in a rapidly changing and often divided world.

DAY 1

The first day gathers church leaders and practitioners for inspiration and practical insight with Dag Inge Ulstein, Rania Louhibi, and Gina Gjerme. Together, we’ll reflect on how faith, integrity, and compassion can shape leadership that offers hope and direction.

DAY 2

The second day invites scholars and students into deeper theological conversation with Craig Keener, Caleb Nyanni, and Merete Hodne. Through Scripture and reflection, we’ll explore how biblical narratives form the imagination and wisdom needed for our time.
